Privacy Policy
Last updated August 4, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Sonveya collects, why, and how it is handled. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
1. What we collect
Account data: your email address, used to sign you in and to send service messages (sign-in links, receipts, important changes). No passwords are stored - sign-in uses one-time links or your Google account.
Content you upload: songs, video clips and lyrics you provide for rendering, and the videos we render for you.
Usage and billing data: renders you start, credits granted and spent, and technical logs needed to run the Service securely (such as timestamps and error messages). Payment card details are handled entirely by Paddle, our merchant of record - we never see them.
2. Why we process it
To provide the Service (render your videos, deliver downloads, keep your credit balance correct) - performance of contract.
To keep the Service safe (rate limits, abuse prevention, error diagnostics) - legitimate interest.
To meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping of purchases.
3. Where your data lives
We use a small set of infrastructure providers as data processors: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (file storage, EU jurisdiction), Vercel (web hosting) and Paddle (payments, as merchant of record). We do not share your data with anyone else, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
4. Retention
Uploaded songs and clips are stored temporarily for rendering and are deleted automatically after 30 days. Rendered videos are kept so you can download them; you can request deletion at any time.
Account and ledger data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, except records we must keep by law (such as purchase records).
5. Your rights (GDPR)
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and receive a copy of data you provided. Contact support@sonveya.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Sweden: IMY).
6. Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
